Sandpit
Another way of entertaining the kids in your own backyard is a sandpit. Fun for all ages, you have the option of using treated or untreated timber and we recommend having a smooth finish to avoid any splinters. Treated timber lasts longer in contact with the ground, but if you have young children who almost eat anything, we can recommend some good untreated timbers to use with good lasting qualities.
Playhouse
Besides a world made out of candy, a playhouse is a child’s dream. A place where they can play to their hearts content and in the safety of your backyard-it’s perfect.
For the safety of your children, you have the option of using treated or untreated timber for the interior and exterior and that which is in contact with the ground or exposed to constant dampness can be treated for longer life. For easy repositioning, you can put the playhouse on skids/bearers (at least 100x75 depending on the size of the playhouse) or fix it to the ground.
Dry or wet timber can be used for the framing and the cladding and plywood serves as a quick and easy flooring and/or cladding.
