Source Location: Originated from the USA; sourced Macrocarpa from the South Island
of New Zealand.

Dimensions: Clears are available up to 250x50 and beams for exterior construction
and finishing are available in very large sizes upon request.
Appearance: The prized clear heartwood is a flecked, light golden brown in colour
and is often used instead of Kauri.
Grades: Available in Clears, Dressing Grade and No.1.
Uses: F urniture, joinery, flooring. panelling, weatherboard, pergolas, beams, landscaping,
feature fencing, decking.
Tips: Like Beech, it is prone to cell collapse so to avoid this; it needs to be
air-dried down to 30%MC before being kiln dried.
